I specifically remember when I was a sophomore in college at the University of Pittsburgh, my friends and I would just go over to youtube and find hilarious videos. We would spend a good amount of time looking at funny video after funny video. Of course youtube makes this easy by recommending similar videos when the video you are watching comes to an end.
At lot of the time we watched “blooper” videos. I always found these to be the funniest types of videos, although I felt bad for the poor people who goofed. But oh well, it’s always in good fun right? 
After my sophomore year this trend between me and my friends wore off and I guess I pretty much forgot about it. Though since I had done this before, sometimes—especially when other friends would talk about a funny video on youtube that they saw and then show it to me—I would take great pleasure in showing them some of the hilarious videos that I had in my repertoire. We’d share some good laughs; it was great.
Adding to that, do you ever check your email and a friend or coworker sends you a funny video to watch? It takes you away from your stressful day for a second and allows you to relax, breathe, and laugh.
Anyway, to continue my story, a few years ago I got interested in search engine optimization, also known as SEO. This is now a hobby of mine and is a very broad and complex topic in and of itself. Basically, SEO is the process by which one can get their website ranking (ethically of course) highly in search engines like Google, Yahoo!, and Bing.
So now with my passion of laughing, combined with my passion for SEO, I thought it would be a great opportunity to create this site where I can easily share laughs with all of my subscribers. The beauty of the Internet is that once a subscriber sees a funny video, then they could pass it along to their friends and the amount of people that can see the videos can increase exponentially!
Of course, anyone can also do what I did in college and search youtube or metacafe on their own for funny vids. And I encourage that. I had a lot of fun doing that. The Laughletter is just another option at your disposal. It can save you time and all you have to do is type in your email address and you soon get access to your first video, emailed to you. There’s no effort on your part, I did all the work for you.
My original plan was actually to send you a video every day. However after some consideration, I decided that you probably did not want to get overwhelmed by me from sending these stupid videos every day. So I thought about it a little more and concluded that it would be easier if you just heard from me once a week with a laugh to perk up your week.
So I will continue to build this site and I hope you find value out of the funny videos you will see every week if you sign up—you don’t have to of course, everything is up to you.
